POSITION OPPORTUNITIES:

• Recruit, select and onboard CPE students
• Supervise all levels of CPE students
• Design, develop, oversee & teach CPE curriculums
• Serve as a contributing member of spiritual care’s management team
• Contribute to the work of the PAG

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

• Recruit robust and diverse student groups
• Design CPE programing that may serve as a staff chaplain feeder system
• Reestablish CEC training

SKILL SET:

• Master of Divinity or an equivalent degree
• ACPE Certified Educator (will consider Phase II CEC)
• Ordination and/or endorsement
• BCC eligible

TITLE: ACPE CERTIFIED EDUCATOR

POSITION OPPORTUNITIES:

• Supervise residents, extended & summer CPE students in diverse settings (ex. mental and community health)
• Assist the Supr. CE with onboarding, curriculum & scheduling
• Provide programs and support for staff and GME students
• Contribute to the PAG and other hospital committees
• Participate in ACPE Communities of Practice

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

• Reestablish community CPE through the Penn Foundation
• Contribute to developing additional clinical placement sites
• Assist with ACPE accreditation standards compliance

SKILL SET:

• Master of Divinity of an equivalent degree
• ACPE Certified Educator (will consider Phase II CEC)
• Ordination and/or endorsement
• Experience as a CE (CEC experience qualifies)

TITLE:ACPE CERTIFIED EDUCATOR

• Manage all aspects of the CPE program
• Plan, coordinate and supervise CPE students
• Coordinate students’ clinical experiences in collaboration with other program faculty
• Ensure compliance with all ACPE accreditation requirements
• Oversee the PAG’s functioning and member participation
• Serve as a member of the multifaith chaplaincy team

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

• Assume supervision on the residency group
• Evaluate & recommend spiritual care research opportunities
• Acclimate to the environment of an academic medical center

SKILL SET:

• Master of Divinity or a related advanced degree
• ACPE Certified Educator (CE)
• Ecclesiastical endorsement
• BCC through APC, NACC, or NAJC is preferred
• Experience in an academic medial center preferred
